FPIS will also conduct an inspection of passive protection systems such as fire doors, intumescant paint and steel fire coatings. This will assist in the acceptance of fire cell separation.

Items such as Hose Reels, Extinguishers, Fire Hydrant Systems, Gas Flood Systems and Smoke Extract Systems can also be inspected as part of the Fire Safety System.

FPIS test water supply prior to site development to gain acceptance of water availability. FPIS alsso test to determine if supplies are suitable for building consent requirements or a fire sprinkler system prior to its installation.

This and any other work related to Fire Protection can be undertaken relative to confirming compliance to any part of the Fire Safety System.
