Fire sprinkler systems need a full routine inspection to ensure that the system has remained in compliance since the last inspection. A Status of Fire Sprinkler System (SOFSS) document will be issued for compliant systems.

These routine inspections are completed biennially (once every 2 years) for systems installed to the NZ Standards for Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems (NZS4541), or annually for systems installed to the NZ Standard for Fire Sprinkler Systems for Residential Occupancies (NZS4515).

Fire Protection Inspection Services operate a network of technical officers throughout New Zealand who are able to inspect sprinkler systems when building owners and fire protection contractors request a routine inspection.

This inspection is an examination of the sprinkler system and if any faults found are repaired and proper controls exercised, owners and occupants can be assured that the system will continue to work as designed.

The information is also relevant to Insurers who use it as an aid in their placement of risk.

Fire Protection Inspection Services has the depth of experience necessary to provide the peace of mind that comes with the knowledge that your sprinkler system will work as intended and protect your people and property in the event of a fire.
