In New Zealand almost all Fire Sprinkler Systems are installed in accordance with NZ Standard 4541 or 4515, which identify the requirements for certification by a Sprinkler System Certifier (SSC). There is currently more than one SSC in New Zealand.

Fire Protection Inspection Services Ltd have accredited staff throughout New Zealand who undertake all the respective inspections and testing associated with proving the effectiveness of a fire sprinkler system, and recommends to the SSC to issue a Certificate of Compliance.
